Why do households in Vadodara do not segregate their wastes ? While it makes sense for households to segregate their waste as it will reduce emissions to air, groundwater and lesser requirement of landfills but in reality households are not segregating waste at source. This intervention is aimed at understanding the behavioural change of the households for source segregation. It would also examine the impact of awareness, and monetary incentives on the waste disposal of the households . Waste segregation pays, benefits all and would make Vadodara sustainable and liveable in a long run. It should become a habit rather than an obligation for the citizens.
