Negotiations

Are Indian streets really shared is it just a compromise? Streets are home to multiple users performing multitude of activities. They are being shared by numerous people, which leads to various overlaps, negotiations and interactions among them. But since they might not be ‘designed’ for this purpose, they are unable to cater to the needs of all users causing friction between them. Though this overlap is necessary for keeping a space lively but excessive use or encroachments can lead up to unwanted problems which are nothing but a havoc. This leads to the question and the topic of the project that, are Indian streets really shared or is it just a compromise? The project is an attempt to question the compromise of space between the dominant users so as to enhance their negotiation and interaction.
