The study is based on Understanding the City of Ahmedabad which consits of understanding and analyzing various aspects of Urban Quality of Life (Q.O.L.) and Living condition within the cities. 1 sq.km area (Civil Hospital, Asarwa) within the city of Ahmedabad was being selected to study the following planes (1)Identifying typologies, (2)History and Transformation, (3)Streets, (4)Land Charactersistics, (5)Built Characteristics, (6)Public Realm, (7)Infrastructure, (8)Income, (9)Consumption pattern, (10)Travel Behaviour, (11)Job Centers .
