The portfolio analyses various elements in Ahmedabad using 1 sq km precinct of Jodhpur Tekra area as a case study. This research is based on the concept of synthesis and interlinkages between elements and on how people make choices by understanding the city both spatially and physically. Presently, it is a high density area with well connected road network and is predominantly residential use. The commercial development over the last 2 decades though have provided job opportunities. Road network, infrastructure and commercial has developed to facilitate the real estate business. Plots adjoining roads have shops ensuring “Eyes on Streets”.
