Decoding Khadia

The approach to heritage planning for Khadia is based on two major elements: Heritage and Economy which is supported by a third element of Place-making, which is acting as a magnet for the site. Therefore, transformation of Khadia to have targeted approach for different areas within the site, in adherence to the dominant character such as heritage or local economy or community living, evidently observed in spatial utility of public spaces. The heritage character of Khadia is derived out of cohesiveness of the private and public realm. Khadia’s local markets are elements of intangible heritage.
