Environmental Screening and Environmental Assessment

The objective behind the environmental screening was to delineate affected environmental features/issues e.g. waterways, forest areas, plantations / trees, cultural heritage, market places/human settlements, agricultural land, air, water, natural resources, noise etc. in the project area, in order to define impacts and to minimize the adverse environmental impacts by suggesting best engineering solutions / options at optimal costs and further to categorize and define the scope of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study to be conducted. The requirement of Environmental Clearance (EC) from MoEF & CC would be known only if a proper environmental screening study supported by ground surveys has been undertaken.
