NGP 08 (Nagpur Railway Station)

The project is a part of the essential new infrastructure defining the platform 08 zone to the east of the existing railway station. It is also the new access point to the railway station with the metro station on the east. It is designed to cater to the huge influx of people especially during major cultural events, one of them being the DHAMMA CHAKRA DIVAS that draws more than 10 lac visitors transiting through the railway station in 3 days. The built connects and supplements the old railway station and attempts to negotiate with the movements created everyday by the users of the new transport infrastructure for the metro, bus and railway. The Climatic consideration and building resilience , became important drivers of the design
