The Warli Road

The Warli tribes have been living in the Sahyadri Mountains since 2000 B.C. They have had long and deep history to the place and had undergone through lots of foreign influences as well. However, they are known to be nature lovers, artisans and known for their agricultural practices and unique lifestyle. The road design would attempt to carefully explore the unique feature of a rural landscape and the provided natural wonders. In order to do that, the Route design would have three main pause points in which the untamed nature, artisan skills and current indigenous lifestyle of Warli tribes would be allowed to be explored. Moreover, there shall be certain hints and clues along the road that would direct the travelers and tourists to various hidden experiential destinations through landscape design along the road and certain markers would be witnessed along the road that would give clues and tell the story of the Warli struggles, the present and the possible future.
