The site was AMC market in paldi area, Ahmadabad. Since the project was adaptive reuse it was an old building with a linear span of arcades.The building was supposed to be converted into a pod hotel. The basic purpose of a pod hotel is to serve people for cheaper prices and for a minimum time. There are major 3 types of people who will be the user of pod hotel. They are bag packers, students and people who came for work or business purpose.The building has a very prominent structural grid. It has a very linear grid. Linearity is a very overpowering feature of the building. The linearity is explored here as volumes and light.
