Gauging Cost: In this exercise we were taught judging cost of an object. First we were given an object and then we had to do a research on what all components were needed in making the object.

Efficiency of parking: In this exercise we had to make the most efficient parking possible in the given area.

Organisation: An organisation of clusters was to be made here to understand the meaning of organisation.

Technical Representational Drawing: Here a model of 4 storey model was made and different technical drawings were made accordingly.

Model making and Testing Material: We were all given different models to make, a group of two people were assigned to make a model. A cuboid was made out of reed sticks which had to take load of 25 bricks, the test model could hold 20 bricks. Later some additions were done in the final model.

Charting Adjacency: This exercise was done to chart adjacency, we were given a place to mark the adjacency of the places inside the building. I was assigned Courtyard Marriott. Thus, this map was made in accordance to the adjacency in the hotel.

This was a part of charting adjacency where we had to chart how the different staff members are in hierarchy.

Organisation: This exercise was introduced to us so that we could learn the six principles of organisation

Describing a building: We were given a functional building on which we had to perform a case study, this helped us understand the depth of knowledge which we should have to understand any project in the future. We understood how functionality, access built-form, direction of sunlight, ventilation, need of the building, materials all constitute to make a building.

Solving a design problem: A cart was to be designed of Bhel puri, Pani puri, and Ragda patty, this stall was to be made of an area of 4 square meter. The design was to be made as compact as possible.
