Community Toilets & Public Toilets Management Plan

Khadia is one of the nine wards in central zone of Ahmedabad. As part of studio project, a ward management plan is to be prepared for different utilities & services which are under the jurisdiction of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. There are 18 “Pay&Use” and 47 Community toilets in Khadia. As per citizen survey, observations & on-field study, major issues related to community toilets were identified. Loopholes in O&M mechanism and citizen engagement were spotted. Proposals have been formulated for “Pay&Use” toilets too, for better service delivery. A management plan has been formulated to solve the present issues and for up-gradation of services.
