Deciphering Rajkot was the main aim. The threads linking the innumerable layers of the city, such as the topography, road network, infrastructure, society, culture, employment and economy were unwoven, analysed and decoded. At the same time, we were also exploring the growth potential that the city harnesses. The prominent economic and industrial sector in the city had given it the title of the capital of Saurashtra and towards the upliftment of the image, our aim was focussed. We went on to choose an unconventional, liberal method in developing a plan for the city keeping in mind that cities are meant of people and hence should be developed according to their needs.
