The proposed zoning for the Rajkot DP 2036 derives out of the two following fundamentals that are in line with the vision for Rajkot’s bi-decadal development. Two radials are identified to have development potential which can act as a catalyst to appreciate land value and accommodate future population and its increasing demand for connectivity to RMC and be supplemented via Public Transport. Densification is proposed within RMC to put the vacant land which consists about more than 40% of the area within the city to accommodate the future population via increasing floor space within the city.
