The studio in this semester was based on understanding of a space with various methods and on different levels of locality.The first module focused on understanding urban system, overlapping of certain networks coexisting in the space as a whole, perceiving different people’s opinion (likes/dislikes of a place corresponding to their emotions, feelings etc.). It included mapping, public participation and analyzing the context.In second module, it more concentrated on studies of cities and references, the idea of Utopia, and working of different systems in city. It included imagination of a Utopian city, re-imagining a new system and then bringing it into context with the current situation. The site studied is Kochrab in Paldi, Ahmedabad.
