The mode share is an important indicator of the health of Public Transport in any urban area. In case of Rajkot City, in recent years a rapid motorization has taken place. Maximum growth has been observed in 2-Wheelers and 4-wheelers. Due to the lack of adequate Public Transport in the city, 2-wheelers are the most preferred options for all kinds of trips. These trips has the potential to be shifted to Public Transport, if properly planned.
