This project aims to challenge the proposed Development Plan of Rajkot 2031. Comparing the existing and proposed landuse situations one can see that the agricultural land has been reduced to one-third its original area. Agriculture still being a large economic sector might be shunned in this case due to the traditional practices which may be water consuming and taxing on the land.A Strategic Plan for Sustainable Agricultural practices consisting of land, water & crop management has been framed after a detailed physiological study of Rajkot as well as a comprehensive study of the agricultural sector of the region.
