The proposal is based on strategies that were results of weaknesses and opportunities seen in the housing market of the city, where I opted for the rental housing market. The reason for the same was 14% of the people who were not able to access a formal rental unit, and eventually were living in sub-standard conditions. As per the primary and secondary data sources not much of the affordable housing stock exists in the rental market at an affordable price, therefore there was a need to increase affordable rental housing stock. The challenges and learnings from the phase were the selection of unused SEWS sites in the final TP schemes.
