The course includes various areas regarding the design of steel structures, where starting from basic material properties and behaviour under forces. It includes two main projects of steel truss for industrial structure and steel beam grid for the floor of the selected building. Both of these projects were given in group which includes calculation of forces, selection of appropriate member and connection of members. During this course, manual calculation of forces and design are taught which are recommended by Indian standards and also the software based calculations done in STAAD Pro.
