The project is situated on the out- skirts of Rajkot city whose neigh- bourhood has institutions on one side and residential on other. The project for the blind is examined in a way that it incorporates all senses as blind people rely on all their senses to comprehend their surroundings. A vibrant and humane character dictated by human sense brings into focus ‘normalcy’. Therefore the process in the studio has been to explore space making for blind through sensory experience.The struggle of the project is to arrive at a simple plan organization through this process. The project attempts to incorporate textures, acoustics, scents as conscious and continuous elements in the built environment that acts as guides for visually impaired.
