Sinnar Edu- Play Park: Learning through nature

The demographic of Sinnar primarily falls in the Low income group where in an average family, the parents work in the industrial sector or in the farms in the vicinity. Also in close proximity to the site are 2 schools and numerous residential societies. It can also be observed that there aren’t many gardens and parks in the district. The only open spaces available for play and relaxation is one garden, some open grounds and playgrounds of schools. Keeping in mind the number of schools in Sinnar district and proximity of two schools to the site, it can be said that the district lacks in providing quality open spaces for the children to learn and interact with nature. Hence the proposal for the site is to create a city level park focusing on the growth, development and education of the children. This park will be used for the development of cognitive and motor skills of the children as well as act as a platform for educating them regarding the ecology of this region by conducting community activities as well as education tours for schools and other institutions.Education: Develop responsibility and consciousness towards the environment Understand the basic importance of various natural elements such as soil, water, flora, fauna etc. Understand how plants grow and introduction to seeds and samplings of trees they can grow by themselves in the garden or someplace they wish. Play: Developing motor skills Positive social environments Creative learning
