Eventhough Gandhinagar was designed with commercial blocks spread across sectors, the nature of the roads and the corresponding factors have created a virtual boundary around sectors causing a lack of connection within the sectors. Leading to development along the periphery and corresponding activities of these developments within the sector. There needs to be better permeability between the sectors, So as for Gandhinagar to grow as a city. With Sector 11 planned as a commercial sector, there begins the question of whether the existing formal/informal activities would suffice only the people of sector 11 or would it be possible to include the people of the other sectors in their activities so as to grow as a city.
