The development plan for Rajkot was made for the current Rajkot Urban Development Authority area. For the future expansion of a city, two criteria were established. One was current growth trend of development and another was the agriculture potential areas. So, based on this two criteria,  development between the two rivers, Aji and Nyari was identified as the future potential growth area.
