Making Room for River Vishwamitri

Looking at river as a major component of storm water management:In Vadodara, with the urbanization, the issues with river have been increased. The urbanization has increased the run off in the city. It is bringing more amount of water in river today than before due to decrease in permeable surfaces and the negligence of natural storm water management systems. Also, Vishwamitri River in Vadodara is facing a lot of pollution problems such as solid waste and sewerage dumping. It has increased the siltation in the river and has reduced the carrying capacity. It has increased flooding in the city.
