Metropolitan Planning - A case of Bangalore

The objective of Metropolitan Planning Studio is to understand and analyze the indicators that serve as an integral part at the regional scale. In this studio, we studied regarding the planning and administrative boundaries within the region & the respective plans prepared by them. On reviewing the plans, policies, and acts, we came across the major issues related to the governance framework, economic development, connectivity, and environmental sustainability. Metropolitan Planning is not just to stick to the spatial plans and policies but also to follow a strategic planning approach. This can be achieved through a framework to ensure its implementation and constant monitoring through the iterative feedback system.
