Incidental Transformation : Understanding the City

This project is part of the Foundation Studio for Faculty of Planning. It is a study to understand the city through various layers like history, built form, public space, housing typology and income groups. This portfolio is an analysis of a one square kilometre precinct in Nava Naroda, Ahmedabad. It concludes that a space responds and incidentally transforms to the demands and needs of its  inhabitants. Therefore, zooming out to a larger scale, it can be said that the city belongs to its people.
