‘UNDERSTANDING THE CITY’ Studio aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the city of Ahmedabad. Filtering the city through various lenses of transport, housing, demographics, economics, infrastructure and many more. The studio is an initiative of the Faculty of Planning at CEPT University, aimed to provide a holistic understanding about these ever-changing dynamics of the cities to the First Year Post Graduate students.The overall Studio was divided into 14 different exercises, each comprising a time span of 7-10 days. The city of Ahmedabad, was divided into 1x1 km squares, one for each student. Each week was a different exercise with a different set of variables to fill.
