Understanding the city portfolio is a series of thirteen weekly exercises carried out during monsoon’18 semester-1 of planning master’s program at CEPT University, Ahmedabad. The 1 sq.km of study area of Motera precinct is a connecting hub of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. The theme “Motera: In Transition Mode” is based on Socio-economic mix and impact of mega projects in shaping urban development. Inferences based on public life surveys’ are focused on, to better understand when people were walking, where they were walking, what caused them to linger and remain interested in a space. The storyline showcases the development of the present scenario and its effects on the future as a prominent characteristic of Motera.
