The studio focused on the approach to analyse various physical and social parameters to plan the cities. The themes ranged from land use to income and jobs , housing, public realm etc. 
Shastri nagar precinct was developed in 1970s  by gujarat housing board and is in drastic contrast with vijay nagar which was developed by private developers at the same time. The project tried to understand this contrast based on  14 different themes of urban planning.
