Strategic Plan for Artificial Recharge of GroundWater

Over the last two decade, groundwater has been the major problem in Rajkot, to meet the increasing demand for domestic water and also in other sector people relying on groundwater. As Rajkot is a semi-arid region and scarcity of water is the main problem, so people dependent on the groundwater, because the corporation(RMC) supplies only 20 min of water so due to insufficient supply of water people started relying on groundwater which ultimately creating extraction of groundwater as a resulting decline in groundwater and the city faces a problem of water scarcity. The aim of the project is to meet the water scarcity in Rajkot and what are the various different artificial groundwater recharge techniques possibly need to be done to recharge groundwater in Rajkot city.
