Developing a resource efficient Rajkot through CIP

Cities all over the world are grappled with critical issues like inadequate basic urban services, environmental degradation, poor quality of life and poor service delivery. This City Infrastructure Plan specifically looks into landuse-infrastructure integration and understanding the city context of Rajkot.
The current Rajkot DP remains silent about resource efficiency. As Rajkot is a resource scarce region, this idea explores the concept of sustainability and efficiency in service delivery.
The pilot project looks into  water efficiency through decentralized sewerage systems. This is demonstrated in a study area chosen based on several parameters. The technology and financial operating plan is also prepared.
