THE ENERGY AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE (TERI) IS A RESEARCH ORGANISATION THAT ADRESSES THE CHALLENGES FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT THROUGH TRAINING AND RESEARCH. THIS GLOBAL FORUM SEEKS TO SPREAD AWARENESS IN THE FORM OF EXHIBITIONS AND SEMINARS. IT ALSO PROVIDES PROVISION FOR ACCOMODATION OF GUESTS AND SERVICE STAFF. SITED IN HOT AND DRY CLIMATE, THE DESIGN IS EQUIPPED WITH PASSIVE TECHNIQUES OF COOLING, THOUGHTFUL LANDSCAPE AND VARIOUS INDOOR/OUTDOOR SPACES WITH AN AIM TO ACHIEVE THERMAL COMFORT WITHIN THE BUILDING. FEW OF THESE TECHNIQUES USED ARE STACK VENTILATION THROUGH CAVITY WALL, DOUBLE ROOF FOR SHADING FROM DIRECT SUNRAYS AND JALI AS AN ELEMENT OF INDIRECT DAYLIGHTING AND CONTROLLED VENTILATION.
