Planetarium at Science Center

The planetarium stands out from the existing because of its form which is predetermined by its function. To accommodate this the spherical form is separated from the existing by lifting it off the floor on two parallel walls. One enters a large foyer, open on the sides with a canvas canopy, forming a large gathering space. The foyer is in contrast with the enclosed auditorium space which is formed by two concentric geodesic domes. The foyer then extends out as a deck which opens up to the view of the ever-busting commerce six roads.
