The project is, in its essence, adding layers of privacy as the researchers move from the lively, vibrant science center to their residence which is an intimate, cozy, moody pod jutting out of the existing building. The intention was to create a space using the minimum required dimensions while adhering to the geometry of the existing roof. The sense to create a light floating structure is expressed using thin metal sections. Each pod created a different volume, but in principle follows a sense of direction in terms of usage of space.
