Outdoor “Built environment has specific demands on products due to the effect of the environmental factors and usage domains like Public areas, Semi public areas and Private areas. Considerations to Design such products are completely different than the ones in the “interior Built spaces”. There are various norms and codes which define the usage and safety considerations which one needs to take into account while designing such products.” Beyond Human Centered Design “approach is to be taken in designing such products. It is important that potential within the ideas for improved functional performance, systematization, material and manufacturing innovation and cost reduction are all explored. As technology advances and practices change in the workplace, designers need to research and understand changes in the requirements of the products in order to design products for future demands.
