Watershed Management – A Sustainable Solution in Building Resilience to Water shortage in Bhuj. Bhuj – a city located in Kutch district of Gujarat met its water requirement efficiently in the past. But due to urbanization its impacts on ecosystem of Bhuj was by reducing the water available in the lake system for the aquifer from which groundwater can be drawn through a system of wells and also in the days of high rainfall, the collapse of the carefully designed system led to flooding in many parts of Bhuj. Therefore, there is an urgent need to tackle the menace by a comprehensive storm water management plan.
