Attaining Equity & Ecological Resilience: Palaj TPS

The studio focused on micro-planning of urban fringe of east Gandhinagar, where currently the development is only of major institutes like IIT and GIFT city. The existing situation analysis was done in a group of 8, while in groups of 4, regions of Shahpur and Palaj were focused on. Our group concentrated on Palaj Village for the TP Scheme. The whole region is earmarked as Institutional zone; due to which the Tp scheme mechanism had to be tweaked in order to achieve the DP vision. The study culminated in a revised TP scheme mechanism, which promoted development.
