The Urban expansion and regeneration studio, analyses the multiple layers of east Gandhinagar, focusing on Palaj, which helps in understanding the future development pattern and helps in regulating the same through the tool of implementation; the Town planning scheme. From the inception of the scheme, the equality in spatial planning from the perspective of plot owners was the fundamental principle. This guided in the characterization of a revised Town planning scheme, giving equal importance to the spatial planning and the economic viability to every plot owner, irrespective of their original plot size and location.
