Re - Imagining an Urban Entrance

The intent of the Town Development Scheme (TDS) is to develop a model that complements the existing development. In this project, perpetual tourism typologies are explored to complement the existing nature of development ie. The city entrance via Bhopal Bypass Road, Raja Bhoj Airport. The TDS aims at targeting the “Happiness Index” & “Livability” in the city through Health, wellness, and sports. The purpose is to push public health and well - being to new levels in a predominant “Eco-Tourism City”. The TDS also targets M. I.C.E. Tourism to promote and provide National and International dialogue platforms in an existing Administrative setting. TDS is proposed with a vision “To reinforce the identity of Bhopal as the Capital City by promoting tourism-oriented development through a renewed TDS mechanism".
