The urban expansion studio consists of a series of iterations carried out during monsoon’19. The objective of the studio was to learn various development models to manage urban growth in cities. The following work was structured based on various cities divided amongst students in a group of four. As cities and city centres undergo expansion with time due to increase in population & demand to manage this transformation, we made Local Area Plans. Planning was done keeping the natural features, existing features, market trends and DP proposal into consideration. The studio’s outcome is to showcase the Local Area Plan with the envisioned built form.
