This course introduces the fundamental theories of GI Science and practices of a Geographic Information System, using study based methodology. The theme for the Studio Project is the ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan’.  The emphasis is on1.  Understanding concepts in GIS 2.  Mapping and Pattern Analysis 
Aim: To identify, map and analyze patterns of informal dumpsites in various wards of Ahmedabad with a major focus on the social behavior and their responsibilities for successful implementation of the SBA. (21 wards of Ahmedabad (Zones: Central, South, South-West, North-West) were chosen).

Introduction to the ward, AMC statistics and methodology

Identifying informal dumpsites, silver bins and clean zones of the ward and taking survey samples in suitable points

Analyzing "Commercial zone"
