PASSIVE COMFORT LAB

In Passive Comfort Lab, introduction to the need of effective application of concepts of building physics, climate analysis, design strategies and building simulations which will be helpful to reduce the energy consumption and increase the energy efficiency was given. It therefore helped to improve the overall performance of the building. Further, the properties of materials were studied with respect to their ability to transfer heat. With hands-on prototype of solar cooker, we understood the modes way better by practical experimentation. Building simulation helped to analyse how various strategies in buildings affects the energy consumption. It gave us an insight as to how different parameters can help reduce energy consumption in building and gives lower Energy Performance Index as well is cost effective in real life.
