AHMEDABAD METRO (UNDER GROUND 01- EAST RAMP TO KALUPUR)

PROJECT Subject covers the study of four project life cycle phases – Conceiving, Development, Implementation and commissioning phase. To study and analyze these phases, we selected AHMEDABAD METRO RAIL PROJECT as a case study. Starting from Ahmedabad city and it’s transit system, we covered project feasibility, contracting, execution and closeout procedure. The conceiving stage involves the need for the project, environmental and social impact assessment, Cost estimates and Project Organization tree. In the Development stage, we covered detail cost estimates and sensitivity analysis, concept drawings, contracting, risk management and project scheduling. Then In the implementation stage, we covered setting up of Organization, design drawings, the scope of work, execution, Productivity and cost analysis of major site activities, quality, safety and traffic management, Material and equipment management, bling and reconciliation and project monitoring. In the closeout phase, we covered contract clauses and procedures and documentation required for closeout. Here is a glimpse of one topic from the Implementation stage – Tunneling productivity analysis.
