THE ALWAR WATER COLLABORATIVE.

The water tank of Moosi Maharani, fed by the water channel originating in the Krishna Kund, nestled amongst the forests of the Aravallis, traversing the valleys across various various sedimentation tanks, forms the backdrop for the Alwar Water Collaborative. The AWC seeks to create interaction between communities, NGOs, government agencies and the private sector to launch a multi-faceted effort to recognize the value of the traditional water systems. Inserting itself within the existing disparate communities of the town, at the threshold between the forest and the city, along the traditional water system, the Collaborative offers spaces to the people to conduct their everyday lives within its premises as a means to generate a dialogue. The Collaborative intends to connect with its immediate community of lawyers to inform policy, the purohits to enable traditional systems of water governance and local businesses to innovate in revenue models for the regular administration of the premises.
