Vann Vidyalaya

“a structure-preserving transformation is one which preserves, extends, and enhances the wholesness of the structure of centres”
The studio focuses on the study of living centres, their living processes, interdependence and their sustenance. Design decisions for interventions were taken by analysing the sense of belonging felt at every stage, corresponding to changes made to every element.
Vann Vidyalaya was derived as an intersection of a pottery centre, nursery for plants and the lake aiming at a holistic view of learning through making; and eventually emergence of a food forest for the sustenance of the Palodia lake.
