Brahmbhatt Viraj Pratul

AR2004

City Museum

The studio's main focus was to reach a certain stage of detailing and resolution of the overall structure. Aldo Van Eyck's unbuilt museum project was given as a basis which was developed in terms of structure, articulation of spaces and the overall detailing according to the context, climate and the respective site in Ahmedabad. The design process was greatly guided by the architect's ideologies and design principles as well as our own design approach. The final product is a surreal mix of the two fitted into the frame of Ahmedabad's context
