Re-defining the edge

The studio proposed an intent to understand the scale of open vacant pockets in the urban fabric and what can be the most appropriate way to intervene in such pockets. This would entail understanding the impact of design interventions in the immediate context as well as on the city. The design process was initiated through started with analyzing the site in with three different perspectives      that of the field and activities, which included various actors of the site and the timing of different activities the interaction of the immediate built context with the site, and a conscious gauging of the sense of the site regarding it sit’s the character of openness and scale relative to context.
