The logic – Transformation of form by rotation has been obtained from a mirror cube. A mirror cube is a twisty puzzle with an off-center pivot mechanism, which translates into skewed centers and the distinct dimensions of all its pieces. Mirror cube is composed of a core pivot mechanism on to which the six static centers and twenty movable pieces are attached. The mirror cube has one hub around which its surfaces rotate in all the directions. The volume increases and decreases with each movement of the object. The mirror cube has a pivot mechanism inside around which all the parts are interlocked and move by rotating the surfaces. The initial idea for the workstation had two pivot points around which the laptop surface moves. The second surface helped the stool to move outside the system. The workstation has been divided in three sections- planes, void and mass. The surfaces are the planes, the legroom is the void and the storage is the mass(solid).
