City Wide Decentralised Septage Treatment in Udaipur

Udaipur is a historical city where sanitation has long been a neglected topic outside the core walled city. In this project, a solution was sought to make the city more sustainable in the perspective of sanitation and public hygiene. The transition from decentralized sewage treatment to centralized treatment has been proposed in phases. FSTP is one of the proposals that can cater to the growing demand for septage management in the city. A biogas plant has been proposed at Titardi to alleviate the problem of unsafe septage disposal as well as to generate extra revenue in the city for its further development.
