ROAD NETWORK FOR STRATEGIC TRANSPORT PLAN OF VADODARA

Vadodara is located at south of Ahmedabad city and well connected with road (NE1) rail and air way and said to be gateway to golden corridor. The case study of Vadodara aims to understand the process of making urban transportation plan including its linkage with socioeconomic and spatial aspects of city, situation analysis using secondary data , conducting surveys for necessary information such as road inventory, household survey, road side interviews etc. to understand existing network, travel demand and understanding key transport issues of the city. It also includes developing strategies for managing transport issues and catering existing and future travel demand of the city. The travel demand modeling is used to estimate future travel demand and developing scenario to see the probable impact on transport system and check the implacability of the proposals. This portfolio explains existing and proposed road network of Vadodara based on, existing transportation challanges, issues and city growth dynamics for next 20 years and making strategic plan for road network for horizon year of 2040.
