Planning for the Twin cities across Narmada

The outline of Development Studio of Spring Semester 2019 was evolved based on our learning in the Monsoon semester. Beginning with making the jump from a one square kilometer precinct to a city, we worked on understanding planning for a familiar area (our precinct). The next step was to study and compare Development Plans of different cities across the world. This introduced us to the nuances of planning. The studio was designed in an iterative manner. Initial analysis of the city began in a group of fifteen, while we simultaneously started working on initial proposals. As we further tapped onto resources like stakeholder and household surveys, and interacted with various professionals and academicians, the plan was proposed in teams of four.
